11 January 2025, marks a truly extraordinary moment—the shift of the North and South Nodes. Unlike the planets moving through zodiac signs, the Nodes aren’t physical celestial bodies— they are two powerful points in the cosmos. While the Nodes may not get as much attention in Western astrology, they are incredibly insightful when it comes to understanding our soul's purpose and the patterns we’re here to release as we grow and evolve.
This shift is not just fascinating—it’s transformative. Over the next 18 months, it will guide us to align more deeply with our path and leave behind what no longer serves us. I’m so excited to dive into this topic with you, breaking it down so you can understand how this cosmic change impacts your journey. Because every 18 months is a different focus in your life!
When I found out about the Nodes and what they represent, I went back into my life until 2014, and it's crazy to see how much the energy of both of the Nodes have influenced my journey, transformed my journey, and shedded old layers that didn't serve me anymore. Let’s explore the wisdom of this shift together and embrace the beauty it brings!

What are the North and South node and what do they represent?
The North and South Nodes are points in the sky where the Moon’s orbit around Earth intersects with the Earth’s orbit around the Sun. Together, they form what we call the Moon's axis, or the lunar nodes. While these points aren’t visible to the naked eye, their influence in astrology is deeply powerful.
Unlike planets or other celestial objects, the Lunar Nodes aren’t physical bodies but rather points in space where the Sun and Moon’s paths cross. This is why we experience a New Moon when the Sun and Moon align in the same Zodiac sign, and a Full Moon when they are opposite each other—meaning the Full Moon always occurs in the opposite sign to the current Zodiac season.
When the Sun and Moon align with the Nodes during a New or Full Moon, that’s when we experience a Lunar or Solar Eclipse, which happens about 3-4 times a year.

North Node: Your Soul's Destiny
The North Node is our cosmic compass, pointing toward our soul’s growth and higher purpose. It represents the qualities, experiences, and lessons you are here to develop, often pulling you out of your comfort zone and into new territory for your soul. Growth happens when you lean into this energy - it's where your greatest potential lies. At the end it's about your life path you're meant to embrace in this lifetime.
South Node: Your Past Life Patterns
On the other hand, the South Node represents our karmic past—patterns, behaviors, and traits that feel familiar and comfortable. It symbolizes where you've been, both in this life and possibly in past lifetimes. While the South Node often feels like a safety net, relying too heavily on it can keep us stuck in old cycles. You're here to evolve beyond it.
The two Nodes together
The dance between these two Nodes reveals the tension between the familiar and the unknown. While the South Node provides valuable tools and wisdom, the North Node challenges you to stretch beyond what feels easy and step into our full potential. Together, they create a map for spiritual evolution, offering guidance on how to release what no longer serves you and embrace what helps you grow.
The Astrological Shift
On 11 January 2025, the lunar nodes shift into new zodiac signs, initiating a profound transformation in the collective energy. The South Node has moved into Virgo, while the North Node has entered Pisces. This marks a pivotal change, inviting you to balance precision and structure with surrender and intuition. The focus will be on this dynamic for the next 18 months! Both collectively and personally.
North Node in Pisces: Embracing Spirituality and Trust
The North Node in Pisces invites us to embrace a more fluid and intuitive approach to life. Pisces energy thrives on connection to the divine, creativity, and unconditional love. This is a time to deepen your spiritual practices, cultivate compassion, and surrender to the mysteries of life. By integrating the lessons of Pisces, we can find peace in uncertainty and align with a higher sense of purpose.
South Node in Virgo: Releasing Perfectionism and Over-Analysis
With the South Node in Virgo, we are called to let go of tendencies toward perfectionism, overthinking, and excessive control. Virgo energy often focuses on order, routines, and self-improvement, but its shadow can lead to self-criticism, judgment, and a fixation on fixing every perceived flaw. Over the next 18 months, you are encouraged to release the need to micromanage your life and instead surrender and trust in the flow of life.
The Dynamic Balance of Pisces and Virgo
The Pisces/Virgo axis represents a delicate balance between the spiritual and the practical. Pisces, the dreamer, embodies intuition, empathy, and the dissolution of boundaries, while Virgo, the analyst, brings structure, discernment, and a grounded approach to reality.
Pisces encourages you to tap into your spiritual and creative potential, urging you to surrender to the flow of life and embrace the mysteries beyond the material world.
Virgo, on the other hand, invites you to pay attention to the details, refine your routines, and serve others through practical means.
As the Nodes shift into Pisces and Virgo, the collective focus is on aligning our spiritual aspirations with practical action. It’s a time to honor both the transcendental and the mundane, recognizing that true growth comes from integrating your dreams with tangible steps toward manifesting them.
In this cycle, you may be called to refine your rituals and daily habits, ensuring they align with your higher purpose while staying rooted in the present. The challenge lies in finding the balance between dreaming big (Pisces) and taking disciplined action (Virgo) to bring those dreams into form.
I must embrace spirituality, intuition, surrender, and having faith in something greater than myself. I must release perfectionism, overthinking, excessive control and judgement towards others and myself.
Reflecting on the Past 18 Months: The Aries-Libra Dynamic
As we step into a new astrological chapter, it's important to reflect on the themes of the Aries North Node and Libra South Node that defined the energy of the past 18 months. This period was a call to balance individuality with relationships, courage with compromise, and self-leadership with collaboration.
Aries North Node: Learning Boldness and Authenticity
The Aries North Node encouraged us to step into our own power, take risks, and embrace individuality. Aries energy pushed us to claim our space in the world, lead with confidence, and pursue our passions unapologetically. For many of us, this meant breaking free from patterns of indecision, fear of conflict, or reliance on others' approval.
Libra South Node: Releasing Codependency and Overcompromise
At the same time, the Libra South Node called us to release the shadow aspects of Libra—codependency, people-pleasing, and sacrificing authenticity to maintain harmony. Many of us faced lessons around boundaries in relationships, learning when to compromise and when to stand firm in our truth.
The Dynamic Balance
The Aries-Libra axis illuminated the dance between "me" and "we." Over these 18 months, we were asked to find a healthy balance between honoring our individuality while fostering meaningful relationships. It was a journey of aligning self-assertion with fairness and harmony.
Personal Reflection
Reflecting on the past 18 months, I can see how perfectly the Aries/Libra dynamic aligns with my journey. I’ve really stepped into my own power, making the decision to create something I’ve longed for here on Gili Trawangan—a place that feels like home. A spot on the beach, under the trees, on the sunset side, offering healthy food and a relaxing atmosphere. I want to bring more spirituality to this island too, and I dream of opening a physical space for Boho Frequency—where people can meet, align, learn, and grow.
But stepping into my power hasn’t been easy. In the beginning, I leaned on my family for financial support, thinking it was the path to take. But the Universe had other plans and made it clear that this wasn’t the right route for me. Then, someone else came along, someone who heard about my vision and wanted to invest with me. Again, the Universe intervened, showing me that this wasn’t the journey I was meant to take. I had to do it on my own.
Even though I felt deep inside that I needed to trust myself and go solo, I struggled with the fear of letting go and trusting my inner guidance. I allowed doubt to creep in, letting external ‘noise’ influence my decisions. This caused me to drift even further from my own inner compass. It wasn’t until I realized that I couldn’t fight my own path, that I needed to trust myself, and that the Universe was aligning everything just as it should, that I finally began to take the reins.
Another part of my journey that’s stood out—especially in the past year—has been about relationships. While I deeply value my solitude, I struggled to express this to my friends and loved ones. How could I set boundaries with my family, especially when I felt their influence was pulling me off course? It’s been a delicate balance of honoring my own space and navigating the dynamics of those close to me.
